Yep, thats the bridge. Either that or bring wellies. The Ober Water doesn't usually get that high so I manage with walking boots.

If you enter via Roehampton Gate .. follow the Main road & then follow signs for "Bog Lodge" .. the Ranger & Royal Parks Police Stations .. where you should be able to get up to date info as to the Deers location ..

hi carol,

deer stalker is spot on,a good pair of walking boots is usually all that is needed.

not long to go now,might even see you down there!

the action was a little quiet last year,hopefully will be better this year.

mind you i did see a fallow rut on the other side of the heath so it wasnt all bad

Hopefully, depending upon time and commitments, I'll get in a couple of visits; thinking around 19th-20th of this month onwards. I'm REALLY looking forward to it.

It's something I've always wanted to do but, until I found this site

, didn't really know where to begin.
I know I could have tried the 'Walk with a Ranger' trips, but I'm quite prepared and far more happy to wait around for a few hours just hoping to catch a glimpse.
Think that's the joy of animal watching along with photography; the elusive moment!!

Having spouted on long enough

and after cleaning my boots from Tuesday's 'stroll' in the woods, I'm off to invest in a pair of decent wellies!!
