Unidentified substance

Does anyone know what this might be? I found it over the weekend near a badger sett and near by I also found the remains of a badger. It set the alarm bells ringing. Its probably not, but if anyone can shed any light on it I would be very grateful thanks.

Puzzling. It looks like a mixture of minced meat and puke.

Dunno hard to tell from the photo but you obviously have suspicions - what were you thinking - some form of poisoned bait? The badger has been dead some good while - its interesting that its all remained intact and doesn't appear to have been ripped at by other carvivores .........

I never went touched it or went to close just incase. It looked weird, it was in such a remote place and I cant think why it was there or what it is. I would guess it had a texture like gravy granules just by looking at it.
