| | | Bedding for Badgers Hi all, I am currently watching a good few setts and noticed that one of them is in a very bare area. As Badgers change their bedding regularly I was wondering how they would do this on such a sett. Will they collect it from a distance? I was also wondering if it was possible to help them out a little by leaving bedding at the entrance. Would appreciate your thoughts on this and I would be interested to hear if anyone has tried this in the past. Thanks |

| | | Re: Bedding for Badgers Hi there
I've seen badgers shuffling along a road with bedding in the past, so they must have been a good distance from the sett.
I've heard about people leaving out bedding too. Michael Clark writes about this in Badgers, and it seems it was gratefully received. I guess there's no harm in leaving out some clean hay or similar and seeing what happens.
