I looked up Roe Deer but discounted irt as the antlers are not branched. The face is very distinctive I agree.
I learn something else new

| | | Re: Muntjac? Thank you both. The surprising thing was that there were two travelling together and they were without any fear at all. They circled round several times and at one stage ran towards us, stopping only 10-15' away. They seemed to be curious about us and were totally relaxed.
