i have never heard of a fox attacking a badger, must be a rare thing to see. |

along with both foxes,the foxes both stood one either side of one of the 3 holes they have under our fences,
both barking at the badger,no attack this time,
so my guess that is the route to the cubs,
now i am worried for them,but what can i do?if anything |

| | | Re: foxes and badgers There's really not much you can do. These kind of confrontations are fairly commonplace. The badger will take the cubs if it's easy, but if there's other food sources locally will tend to avoid direct confrontation with the foxes. A pair of foxes can defend themselves quite well (they'll work as a team which evens things up a bit). The main risks will be when the cubs are first venturing out. At the end of the day, it's nature and the fox population will survive any lost cubs. |
