| | | Badger Viewing Hi,
I am very interested in viewing some badgers, I have a sett that I go and see but its very hit and miss as they are very spooky as I expect them to be. I live in coventry, if anyone knows any places I would be very interested. if they are on private land I have no objections to meeting up with people beforehand etc etc.
Thanks in anticipation..... |

| | | Re: Badger Viewing Best just look around your local area for setts, and try and establish whether they're in use or not by looking for tracks, latrines etc....bluebell woods are usually a good bet
The best badger sett I ever visited was on the Pembrokeshire Coast path (I won't post the exact location for the reasons tameblackbirds stated ). It was literally next to the coast path, and it was possible to watch the badgers in the lee of a hill and sitting upwind of the sett. The badgers were completely unaware of our presence and tootled about their normal business. Scattering nuts and raisins around the sett just before dusk made them hang around a bit longer as well
Good luck! |

| | | Re: Badger Viewing Hi there - good to hear from another badger enthusiast
I'd suggest looking up your local badger group. Most areas have one. The Badger Trust website has details of local groups, many of which offer organised badger watching sessions.
Good luck, and I hope you find somewhere.

| | | Re: Badger Viewing It really is best if you can contact your local badger group, even better if you can join, I'm sure that groups will have viewing evenings at the moment, especially as cubs are venturing out for the first time.
I saw my first of the year last Thursday evening, three tiny cubs, brilliant

Members have suggested looking up your local Badger group and many may be rightly concerned that a new member should ask such questions regarding badgers.
It may help to introduce yourself in the 'hello' forum and view some WAB threads to get a feel for the site.

| | | Re: Badger Viewing Hi Maverick - good to bump into you here!
Good news about the cubs - I saw my first of the year on Monday. It's a great time to be out watching, especially as they get braver and more playful over the next month or so.
