Deer near Royston

Hi. I caught this herd of deer recently. Hope you like.

Big herd of Fallow there stargazer.

I saw a similar herd in Buntingford, I say similar as my herd had 2 white females.

Took a picture of the same lot on Sunday! At least 90+ in that herd.



I don't know where they all hide?

I often see a seperate herd about 15 miles away between Newport and Elsenham. Can be seen from the train as well as Car. They stay quite out in the open too!

Hi Rob D. Well spotted, that is indeed Coombe Road. I saw maybe part of the same herd later the same day behind the rifle range.

Hi Mungo, this herd had two white deer as well, see wider photo below. Maybe the same.

On the same walk there were 3 buzzards, plenty of hares getting frisky, then late in the day near Kelshall I saw what I thought was two foxes playing but turned out to be a muntjac trying (succesfully) to drive a female fox away. Sadly the camera was in the bag - lesson learned.

Do you think this is the same herd I saw then?
I saw them on Sunday about 6pm.
I think there were about 3 males in my herd.

Interested to know if there is one herd or many in the area. Anyone know how far individuals in a fallow herd might roam?
