| | | Re: Woodmice Is the food you're putting out for the hoggy called 'wildthings hedgehog food'? I've found that cats like this too (they just leave the dried fruit pieces). If you have cats visiting your garden, you'd be best not to leave out any type of cat food. Instead, offer a mix of chopped peanuts, sunflower seeds/hearts, sultanas, banana, dried mealworms, broken up digestive bics, sponge/fruit cake (the latter two only being offered in small amounts as a treat ). Some hedgehogs also love a treat of a little diced up cheddar cheese, but so do cats! |

| | | Re: Woodmice I use CJ Hedgehog food, so it has raisins, sunflower seeds, oats etc in it. I put the dish under a plastic cover with a four inch hole cut out at either end so I don't think a cat could get in. On another thread I have been advised to use sand to check for footprints. I think I'll try that. Only other option is to sit up all night and watch who eats the food! Not such a good idea. |

| | | Re: Woodmice I went into the shed for a large packet of lawn seed last Summer only to find a large bag of husks.
The little devils had scoffed the lot. I don't think mice are very fussy.

| | | Re: Woodmice Looks like the mouse is eating the food as I put sand around the dish under the cover. Small scratch marks in the sand. I also put Hedgehog nibbles on a dish next to the hedgehog house. Not touched yet. I'm beginning to wonder if my hedgehog has left us. |
