our little mouse returns

Hi - first post on mammal forum - can someone identify this little fellow that just reappeared beneath the bird feeders? It's the third year its been around and I fairly certain its the same one [we've seen no others] - how long do they live?

At night I've picked up his brilliant beady eyes in my infrared nightvision scope and he's a bit scatty.

I have no idea which species at the moment.

EDIT Hi nytecam, think it's a Wood Mouse - those large ears and eyes give it away

Hi Nytecam, this looks like a woodmouse to me, a young one too, I don't think they live very long though, 6 months to a year perhaps?

I love those enormous back legs they have, which means they walk a bit like wallabies.

I would be surprised if it was the same one though and probably a family of them around somewhere.Still, with the good food at your place who am i to say.

Looks like the mouse (actually two mice) i have feeding of the food dropped by my pots. I think it is a field mouse too. My two are slightly smaller than the wren that is happy to join them

Thanks everyone for the wood/field mouse ID - so I'm wrong to think its the same mouse over the last three years as apparently lifespan is ~4-12 months
