Three pictures of what I believe to be a Water Vole unless anyone else can correct me? They were taken at a campsite in Llandovery, Carmarthenshire.

Redish brown fur, looks like a Bank Vole. NIce to get that close to it. |

yes agreed with the above, a water vole as as big as a large hamster or a small guinea pig even |

Yes i agree, even the young water voles are bigger than bank/field voles and have very course fur. Good shots though nice to get such a trusting little critter

I'm certain that's a bank vole, lovely reddish fur. Spent some time last month helping to trap and mark them  |

Bank vole have redder fur, tail approx 1/2 body length and visible ears. Although the colour is easier to tell in daylight compared to photographs.
Field vole are greyer, tail 1/3 body length and ears are almost hidden by hair.
This bank vole has very red fur!  |
