| | first attempt at deer photography hello everybody
had my first go at photographing deer today in the new forest,not at all easy came across a group on footpath tried my hardest to be invisible even to the extent of crawling on my hands and knees just to try and get closer,seem to have struggled even with a 300mm lense,thanks to the 2 people on here who gave me some tips on a few places to find them  ,cant find a way of resizing my photos at the moment so hopefully this link will be ok Picasa Web Albums - andy - new forest |

You can use Picasa 3 to resize by clicking the Export icon on the bottom toolbar and then selecting what size you want using the slider. Extreme right position will give you 1600 pixels, one to the left 1200 and so on. I have posted images using 1200 which seem to be fine. Use maximum quality setting in the relevant box as well.

| | | Re: first attempt at deer photography Andy, thats a good first attempt you seem to have found some Sika hinds although the first shot looks like a Fallow Buck.
The knack with deer photography is to keep at it and dont give up, the deer will get easier to find, follow and get close to, quicker than you think then photographing them will be much more fun.
