Black squirrel

Here in holland we have no greys at all, only reds, but we have a black squiggy here too, so it must be that they are all able to produce blacks, and i know its not a mammal but we also have a black nuthatch and a blackbird with a white head, i do hope its not down to the basset allsorts i lost in the garden lol.

I saw a black squirrel in Hertfordshire as well. It was near to the Tesco car park in Baldock! Haven't seen them anywhere else though.

I've seen black rabbits on Ramsey Island, Pembrokeshire too. I guess the lack of natural predators helps them survive there.

Sorry, I just noticed I said black rabbits instead of black squirrels in my post yesterday. I think I was just having one of those days ...
