| | | Fox - Part II These snaps feature the same fox as in 'Fox - Part I'. He had doubled round behind me, crossed the track and then turned right following the hedgerow. I had simply crossed the road, and spotted him trotting along the hedgerow and through the water flooding the track.
I apologise for the quality of the snaps. I was using the 100-400 and 1.4 TC handheld and the snaps are uncropped. In addition, any sun was shining on the other side of the hedge.
The fox trotted through the deepish water, looking back to check that I was no threat
Suddenly, a heron came into view and landed without seeing the fox, and vice versa. When I think how difficult it is for harmless me to get near a heron, and this one nearly lands on predator .........
Suddenly, the heron realises it mistake and takes off.
Not only that, but what I think was a kestrel may be seen in the right hand quarter of the snap
Quite a fascinating sequence.

I couldn't believe having another bite at the cherry and how it would turn out.
