Good news and it's ironic that one of the reasons the Mink is so common in Scotland is that Animal Rights Groups released thousands of Mink from farms many years ago.
Wonder how that lot feel now that the Mink has decimated some of our native species.

I don't think animal rights groups actually care about animals Ron, only their perception of how they think animals should be cared for and treated. Animal rights is a world apart from the prevention of animal cruelty.

Keith this is fantastic news!!!  I was involved in a water vole survey last year with SNH as a volunteer, so I'm so pleased that the Cairngorms and the north east of Scotland are doing such vital work in saving the water voles. Best news I've heard in a long time Thanks for passing this on Keith
