Many years ago I lived on a Shooting Estate and during the shooting season the pheasants would sit on the roof of our bungalow and also on the low building next door. And they talk about 'bird brains'! Wildone |

And they talk about 'bird brains'! Wildone | Yes, there is a shoot just over the road, and they all come over to me and stay put!
I used to put seed out on the ground for blackbirds/pigeons etc in a part of the garden where it doesn't really matter if a mess is made. Anyhow, the pheasants soon became wise to it, and the rest is history!
One even had a nest, and had 9 chicks, unfortunately the chicks only lasted a day or so, before the nest was deserted and I never saw them again.
Anyway, back to that woodmouse |

| | | Re: Wood mouse My ducks keep catching mice in the garden. Yesterday I saw a bag of flour chewed open in a cupboard.
I think they look like woodmice from one I rescued from duck today but not sure. How do I tell them from housemouse, pics Ive seen online they both have quite big ears? | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
