| | | Racoon in Dorset Just heard on the radio a lady in Dorset spotted a Racoon up her neighbour's tree while doing the garden birdwatch! The RSPCA managed to trap it and took it away, destination unknown. |

A native North American, though there is a substantial feral population in Europe- countries such as Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland + various others + some in central Asia. I wonder if it has ever been native to this country. Does there exist a list of mammals we used to have but no longer live here ? Would be an interesting read.
