OH got home windows, doors open!!!!!!!!! Poor thing had the joy of putting head through loft entrance and checking
Rat in trap instant death as it's head was crushed any way enough of the details but OH had on mask and gloves and rubble bag to put it in.
Traps were set 18th of January! wary rat hope it was the only one finding it's way in!!!!!!!!! New trap in and set just in case

| | | Re: Rats!!!! Having chickens and goats rats are an ever present problem
One that I have no qualms in solving the fastest way possible. We have found the bes bait for traps is crunchy peanut butter and with poison role the pellets in the stuff (wear gloves of the rubber kind,) As rats will eat the feet of birds if they get under the perching place (ducks and geese,) they are a problem as well as being carriers of Leptospirosis (Weil’s or Viles Disease). How ever I wont trap outside and as for poison it is not ever considered. But as they will never be on an endangered list as the females breed soon after the are born and can give birth up to 4 times a year depending on food supply with from 1 to 5 young who will breed with in weeks of birth one should not be too upset about protecting your selves and property. Any animal will do no less. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
