Vole Video now working

Hi I finally found a place to put the file and get it working ..
BankVolesVideo.flv - Video - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting This should get you into the video .. it worked for me..

I see these voles every day while I am at work.
They live in a bank in the car park where I sit in my car to eat lunch.. I also have other video and photos of wildlife that share my lunch with me .. Its really relaxing, I look forward to lunch every day

Hi. You might like to try Vimeo for uploading your videos as well (it's probably better quality than photobucket) have a look at my wildlife videos at Jane Adams' videos on Vimeo There's even one of bank voles (and other small mammals) at our local humane small mammal trapping day. Not as cute as yours though! If you are taking this video in your car try winding the window down and resting a cushion or bean bag on the window ledge and putting the camera on top. Keeps it really stable - I use this trick when I'm in the car all the time. I'd love to see the surrounding area as well. Are you in the countryside or town?

Tigger - Thanks for that, I have had a look and spent a while on the site being nosey and signed up.. My videos are normally less jumpy than this but I was trying out a new mount which is like a tripod but clips on to the window and although it holds it steady I found a few drawbacks with it.. Plus I was trying to eat my lunch at the same time as film so was controlling tha camera with one hand.

Hedge witch - Yes I do feed them, in fact its my food they are running up and down to get. I have got into the habit of trying to hide any "bait" when I do photography and also on any video I do.. There is a pile of sunflower hearts behind those leaves in the foreground on the video.. I fully intend to do a lot more video in the future in conjunction with my photography.

They're magic. Is it bank voles with the reddish coat (as opposed to field voles)? These seem quite reddish on therir backs. How many voles live in that nest?
