paula | Hi Paula
There is a rescue centre around Nuneaton if this is close enough, or we will gladly take your hedgehog if you can get it to us, we are about 6 miles out of Evesham. If you would like advive or would like the number for the other centre please ring or email us - you can find our details on our website. sorry just checking my messages so only just read your reply. thanks will have a look at your website in a min. she's still with us, we weighed her and she only weighs 330 grams. was gonna put her down in a dark bedroom with her food and water and let her have some exercise and see if she eats anything as she in my paper recycling box with newspaper and a towel. if you can let me have the details for the rescue place in nuneaton and i'll get in touch with them as i'm just worried that keeping her in a box is going to end up hurting her. thanks for the offer of taking her i'm not sure where evesham is but nuneaton is not that far so should be ok to take her.
thanks for you help hoggy and i appriciate it

Did you manage to take hoggy to that wildlife centre? 330g is far too tiny to have been left outside to hibernate. Your dog must have already known this! |

sorry should have said haven't got any money till tuesday. she's still ok. have been putting her down in one of the bedrooms in the evening, she's having a walk around and seems ok and she's eating the dog food and drinking water. must admit last night the dog somehow managed to get the hog out of the box, which is a paper recyling box, so quite big and it's on the cooker right at the back and the only access is from the front as there is a wall either side of the cooker. the only thing i can think of is she jumped on the cooker and gently picked her up and took her upstairs and put her on a pillow in my mums bedroom. so when my mum reached over in the night to put her hand on the pillow she had a fright when she touched prickles, she then took it back downstairs in to her box and this morning the dog went to the pillow and searched the bedroom looking for the hog. the hog is still ok. but will ring them tuesday morning
thanks to everyone for your help and advice
kind regards

just to let you know that i rang the wildlife place in nuneaton and he just told me to release her in my back garden, i'm suprised that he didn't ask how big it was but they do a brill job anyway, i told him that it was really small and he asked could i bring it in so am taking her in on thursday. she's still fine is eating and drinking
think my dog is going to miss her as not sure whether she is escaping out of the box or the dog is taking her out of the box ??? she's in a recycling box at the back of the cooker and the cooker's waist height.
not sure that the hog minds as the dog takes her upstairs to my mum's bed. twice last night she did it. don't want to tell her off as she's not hurting her. but my mum's keeps getting woken up by prickles lol
will miss hoggy but hopefully she'll have a good life and not miss being carried around in a dogs mouth.
thanks for all your help
