| | | Where to put it? I have a picture of one of my cats meeting a fox cub for the first time (and vice versa, of course). Would it be acceptable on this site, and, if so, where should I put it? |

| | | Re: Where to put it? cant see any reason why not - put it in the mammal Gallery and name it for the fox - vulpes vulpes , unless of course you want to post it on the forum, in which case you will need to put it in the forum images Gallery (which is a straight in unmoderated area), and it can be moved over to mammals later

henrya | I agree, great animal interaction, is the Cat trying to make itself look bigger or is it just being nosy and trying to get a better look? |

| | | Re: Where to put it? She was just being nosy - I think they were both fascinated by one another. She heard the fox moving across and got up to get a better view. We have moved from the house where we took these and, I have to say that after 14 years, I really miss my foxy visitors. Last year one of the females brought her little ones to see us (from a safe distance, of course) when they were probably about 6 weeks old. Later in the year, one of the cubs got his back leg trapped in the fence and had to be rescued. His thanks to his rescuer was a bite!!
Incidentally, I discovered over the years that the foxes were far more scared of the cats than the cats were of them. Frequently a fox would walk behind a cat and both would ignore one another. However, if one of the cats decided to chase a fox, the fox would always run away. Most foxes will not risk a showdown with a cat that has weapons on all four corners. |
