up stood by a rat

this evening while cooking my hubbies birthday supper family all round to entertain home made tomato and red pepper soup, pork and gammon hot pot and apple pie or cheese cake when what sould happen but a young rat is spotted outside kitchen window balancing on fat ball cage munching away! all interest in my hours of slaving gone as everyone stands at window watching in amazement. I have now hung feeder on washing line lets see it figure that one out. have photo as he returned lookin for pud!! hee! hee! not there was it

Great little beasts really. But I don't like them too close to the house though - Weil's etc. A real shame, because of all the mammals you are likely to see in the garden, they must figure in the top 5.

(Your meal sounds great. I don't think you would've lived it down if you'd been serving Ratatouille )

here is ratty after desert! I had moved fat ball feeder

i enjoyed my little mouse climbing into feeder but a rat!

I think it's the one i shooed out of shed last weeked he had made his bed in the cloths i use to T-cut the car.

The little devil, they do rather like sheds and lofts as well, good time of year for them to start going inside. Our juveniles seemed quite happy to live in their burrows but we think we heard one in the loft the other day. Nice piccie too, we don't seem to get the more brownish ones, they tend to be light grey
