| | | Red Deer rut at dunwich heath - suffolk I'm thinking of going up to dunwich heath next week and wondered if I'm still likely to see red deer "rutting" at this time of year.
Can anyone give me information about this such as the best times of day to see them? Advice on getting good views and photo's ?
Thanks. |

If you go to the minsmere bird reserve they organise landrover trips at weekends as well. I always say best time to see the deer are 6.am.to 8.00am. Afternoons 3.30.to dusk, although they are in many the fields , heather , all day,the locals know of the many places for the best shots, so I suggest you get there and talk to other people, due to family illnesses this year ive only been a few times . sheila

| | | Re: Red Deer rut at dunwich heath - suffolk During half term and current weekends (Fri Sat Sun) RSPB Minsmere have
a caravan on the Westleton Dunwich road with experts and telescope on hand to help.
3.30 to dusk.
Go past the caravan and park in the signposted car park and walk the 2-3 yards back. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
