| | | hedgehogs... a liability ! In a massive effort to reduce my blood pressure I spent an hour at the hairdressers. Came home to blissful empty peaceful !! house and enjoyed wabbing without guilt, pottering, a quiet reflective snack and log fire.
Feeling great and chilled, I wombled up to the en suite turned the shower upto very hot and was about to step in when the security light came on. As our hedgehog is very very thin now after timeshare holiday in neighbour's garden, we've taken to leaping out and feeding him when we see him over the last week.
I popped right toes back out of shower and looked out of window and there he was. The resulting chaos included me banging thigh on corner of basin table whilst scrabbling for my partner's dressing gown so as not to shock the neighbours Me falling down last stair to avoid the dog's tail. Running into the kitchen, discovering no more cat food sachets and tripping over the dog once more. I cut my hand trying to open a can of spam which was futile, smashed a jam jar whilst raiding the fridge for ham or chicken, got showered in fajita kits while trying to find meatballs.
After all this I washed the meatballs, ran out to garden, banged knee on garden bench and finally made it to dafydd with the meatballs. He didn't like them I eventually picked up the last of my dog's food sachets and apologised as I fed it to the hog. Needless to say he tripped me up on the way in Had shower, came down, log fire out HOGS !!
Anyone else had similar experiences whilst trying to help animals
Oh and blood pressure .... not gonna bother monitoring tonight

| | | Re: hedgehogs... a liability ! galanthus, your story really made me laugh! And brought back memories of a very similar incident I had with a fox turning up early for his grub in my garden and by the time I got back outside with a feast fit for a king, he'd gone, lol!
Kayleigh, good luck with the interview |
