Woman 'catches bovine tb from garden badger'

I nfind it odd its only been reported in the Times and a farming online magazine as far as I can tell, both calling for culls, rather predictably. I should be noted that the paper hasnt even been approved for publication yet, so hasnt been peer reviewed yet (ie checked by other scientists).

I'm a bit suspicious of the way this story has unfolded. If the vet nurse has a dog I suppose it will have been taken for walks, maybe even across fields with cattle in them??
There have been a few cases over the years, it's rare.

However, depressing welsh story BBC:

I just wish they could prosecute some of these people killing badgers.

Both articles were inevitable and to be expected.
BTB is now endemic in the Badger population in certain areas and it is of course a highly contagious disease.
