| | | Re: My New Squirrel Feeder! We're saturated with greys round here! The reds are becoming scarce and I really find it such a worry. The pox that the greys carry, but are imune to is passed onto the reds, who then die a horrible death. I've only seen photos of reds that have died from this pox, but the photos are just horrible. In a few short years there may not be any reds left, which I find heart breaking.

Tracey | Hence my 'shooting' comment....but actually just to clarify i dont shoot my greys front the front or the rear. I use a baited squirrel trap.

I had one of these (still got it somewhere) - took it down out of pity in the end, as the squirrels didn't touch it, but it drove the blue and great tits mad trying to work out why they couldn't get any nuts out of it  .
