I hardly ever buy this paper but I did today - what a surprise! A fantastic pic of the deer in Richmond Park cooling off in the river, worth buying the rag alone , sorry I can't reproduce it here but it's on the DM website. Enjoy!

Lovely picture. I regularly go to Richmond Park, but have never seen this number in Beverly Brook.

Wow Ive been there a few times but Ive never found that stretch of water before, let alone seen the deer there! Where abouts in the park is it?

Such a creature has been discovered after being attacked by two dogs in Everett Springs, Georgia in the US.

The fawn has two distinct pelvises and uses one leg from each to walk.

It also had two tails, but one was amputated because of the injuries it suffered during the attack.



It is now recovering at the West Rome Animal Clinic, in Rome, Georgia, where vet Dan Pate said: 'It is really an anomaly. It appears it had an identical twin that didn’t form all the way.

'Somehow it has a fairly normal gait, although the centre legs seem to get in the way.'

The deer was separated from its mother by two dogs being walked by their owners Melissa and Alan Dunagan.

'It wasn’t until after we put the dogs back in the house and were about to release the fawn that we realised it had six legs,' said Mrs Dunagan.

It is likely to be to be taken the deer facility at the University of Georgia once it has recovered."
