| | | Grey Seal in Dartford Creek. Just come back from my daily walk along Dartford Creek and along the Thames Flood defence bank at Erith where I spotted a Grey Seal bobbing about near the Flood Barrier. As I got closer it slowly submerged for a few minutes and popped back up again just relaxing in the sunshine. This is the first time I've seen a seal in this far up the river.
It brightens your day when you see something unexpected like that. |

| | | Re: Grey Seal in Dartford Creek. There's also one in the R Ouse in Bedfordshire - think it was released by a Wildlife Centre and went the wrong way! Has apparently negotiated 13 locks either by climbing over them or following boats. |
