| | | mouse nest...but which one?? I set up some old flower pots around the garden to see what I could attract and under one from a few year's ago I found a nest. It was pouring with rain, so I didn't inspect too closely but I think it is a mouse nest. I have attached a picture but it is actually about 6cm tall and 15cm wide (you can't see the height in the picture). Any ideas to what may have made the nest?

I would suggest it more likely to be a House Mouse nest as they are less inclined to burrow and usually build nests in sheltered locations in and around houses, gardens, sheds and other urban areas, Wood Mice usually nest in burrows, although do sometimes nest above ground, from this picture you couldnt really say to 100% certainty im afraid.
