When a Grey Sqiurrel eats Pine cones on the ground they prefer to be in a prominent position to be able to spot danger. Tree stumps are a perfect place.





Pine cones eaten by Squirrels have a ragged apperance when finished with.

This is a well worn deer 'creep'.

Deer tend to prefer to go under or through fences where they can, & use the same points over & over agian. The bottom of the wire often becomes greasy where their coat rubs against it, & if it is barbed wire, may pick up some hairs. Foxes & Badgers will also use them The tracks in the mud either side of the fence will give the species away.

Rabbit Killed by a Stoat. You can see the clear canine marks behind the ear, a morbid photo i know but it shows clearly the precision bite that most mustelids make.
