| | | Re: Tracks and signs images needed. Hi
Can someone confirm these are Muntjac droppings and tracks and I will add them to the tracks & signs section.
There is too much for Rabbit (we don't get them anyway) and the bits are larger, about 10mm long. The tracks are 5-6 inches apart though I've only noticed them this morning so will have thawed a bit yesterday. Whatever it was polished off a plate of red millet, the only birds I've seen eating it are the pigeons and pheasants.
Cheers

| | | Re: Tracks and signs images needed. Badger again. I was reliably informed that these marks are made by the front claws of a Badger. Why, I do not know Since spotting these, I have seen similar signs of Badger activity in other areas inhabited by them. I'd love to find out why they do this:

| | Re: Tracks and signs images needed. I have added a photo to the image Gallery (Unidentified spoors) of some droppings which were found in my back garden. These droppings were amongst the remains of a blackbird which had been totally eaten except for feathers. Any ideas as to what animal left them? |

| | | Re: Tracks and signs images needed. Hi, not sure if this is the right place... I live by the waterside-canalside.
This morning i awoke to snow and saw many tracks in it.
Ducks, cats etc. But there ws some i could not identify. They were 2 very straight tracks, almost like a toy car had run along.
Any ideas? Thanks! |

Welcome to WAB dsupersam, you will get some sensible answers.
i've seen lines like this in the snow where a fox has been carrying the carcass of a goose and the wingtip and foot have described fairly straight lines.

| | | Re: Tracks and signs images needed. Pheasant tracks in the snow. Not usually the sort of bird we get in our garden! Tracks about 6cm toe to heel. Mark left by dragging tail visible at top of picture. |

Don't know if more tracks and signs are needed but have an old book with some good photos I could scan. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
