| | | Foxes Having only just started to get foxes in the garden, I was surprised when last night one was in the garden at 5pm...He(I think) promptly took some bread and left the garden, this went on until 6 bread rolls and 1 banana went. Then we threw out 4 more rolls, 1 banana and some left over KFC(Minus bones). Then enters Mrs Fox (I think) she sits there eating, then in comes Mr fox. By now he has eaten the KFC, and turns his nose up at everything else. Talk about fussy!!!They finally left when all food had gone.
Then we had to throw more out otherwise the badgers won't get any, as they come out a lot later, and after all they were coming in the garden before the foxes.. |

| | | Re: Foxes How lovely to see them while it's still daylight. They are possibly avoiding confrontations with the badgers. Our foxes have become very nocturnal this year, though in the past we've had them in the garden at all times of the day and night.
Sounds like they had a bit of a feast. I tend to throw a handful of sultanas down, but try not to give too much food as they are very capable hunters and shouldn't become too dependent on human hand outs. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
