I got this email which I thought I'd share in case others want to help.

The Welsh Assembly have said that they will use Badger culling as part of their approach to the control of Bovine tb in cattle. This is despite Scientific evidence.

We are supporting the Viva Campaign against the Culling of Badgers and will be attending their demonstration on Saturday June 28th at the Welsh Assembly Rooms in Cardiff at 1 p.m. If you can make it – please join us there to show your support.

Also Hilary Benn (the Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs) will be taking a decision on the ‘culling’ of Badgers in England within the next few weeks.

Thanks for that, I have just sent off an email. The Badger Trust is seeking a judicial review of the actions of Elin Jones, the Welsh Assembly minister. It sounds like she is now backpedalling fast. I, for one, totally support the Trust in doing this. It could be very effective as they will highlight the transparently political motivations of the cull, even if there is no justice to actually overturn it. I hope others can also support the Trust in their actions, especially as they may also need to tackle Mr Benn soon.
