| | | Mouse ID I took this through the window this morning, it is exactly where the woodmouse normally feeds in the back garden. But it's ears are a bit smaller than a woodmouse and it was much darker than the usual ones. However, it is pale underneath and it does have quite large feet. I originally thought it was a house mouse, not 100% certain now though. Any ideas?

| | | Re: Mouse ID Hi there, no hopping around well not this morning. I think you may be right about it being juvenile, the darkish brown top coat definitely says house mouse and the ears are about the right size, it's that cream underside that is bugging me! Wonder if juvenile house mice are lighter coloured underneath?

| | Re: Mouse ID Hi Shirl, Nicely captured,
it's got to be a juvenile, and yes house mice have got a light underbelly, they have long snouts and large ears , but if this is a baby then they haven't fully developed, the colour is right though.

| | | Re: Mouse ID Thanks all, I will go for young house mouse, sweet little thing and it would have been a much better photo if I had cleaned the windows! Still, at least it helps with id.

| | | Re: Mouse ID Here is another pic of it taken yesterday (windows still mucky!)
The thing that still concerns me a little is that from some of the other shots, it looks like there may be some fur on the tail.
