Mad Squirrel Day

I'm not a big fan of the grey Squirrel but have to admit that they can be very amusing to watch and this one had me in stitches, it had been chasing round the garden, jumping at the clumps of daffs, scattering the birds that were trying to feed, then as I grabbed my camera it picked up this bit of twig and was rolling over and over with it in its paws, the pic is a bit out of focus as I had a job keeping up with it

Sounds like it was having fun i bet the birds wondered what was going on

squirrels can be just as bonkers as kittens

its really good to see wild animals playing

Hello I havent got any what I call strong branch mature trees in my garden, but my next door neighbour did and we always use to see the squirells come jump through tree to tree, but he cut them all down , guess what yea Ive not seen squirell back here since, be glad when my trees get stronger and they can jump to their hearts content sheila

Always amazes me that people cut down trees!! - so good for wildlife!! Hope your squirrels come back soon

That is a shame, as much as I have grumbled about them pinching bird food, decimating birds nests etc, I think I would miss them if they left the garden, they certainly add a little something extra with their comical antics.
