| | | Bat return When I moved into my new house (in Liverpool) I was entertained in my armchair by a bat swooping back and forth outside my window every day around dusk. I haven't seen him since last summer - when is he likely to put in an appearance again? |

| | | Re: Bat return Can't be long now. I leave the light over the door on later in the year, around dusk. When you stand in the doorway, you can get your nose polished by passing bats. Very refreshing. |

| | | Re: Bat return I saw a bat here in early February, which I thought was very early.
I got a bat detector last year and every time I went out with it last summer, the bats used to swoop down to see what I was doing - to within a metre of me!

We live in a flat that looks out into a park with a stream and some nice old churches, trees and other random buildings close by.
The flies and moths are starting to buzz around so fingers crossed! |

| | | Re: Bat return We had three last year that we used to watch through the living room window each night doing their aerobatics, so far this year we have only seen one, how long do they live, and would squirrels disturb them or worse if they find any hibernating while climbing about in trees or buildings |

And I guess a Grey Squirrel would not pass up an easy meal if they came across a roosting bat
