| | | Casualty!!! Hi all!
Well I was amazed to see this lil bun in my garden this morning! .....
Only stayed for a few mins until the pigeons spooked it and it shot off back under me gate....
anyway... only an hour ago one of the neighbours boys came round and out of his hoodie top produced..... my lil bunny!!!! He'd rescued it from the jaws of a cat
It's now in a Rabbit hutch (yes the one I used for building up Henry the Hedgehog) out in the garage. Have given it some hay for bedding, water and food, so fingers crossed that if it hasn't been bitten it'll be ok, but will check it properly in the morning if it survives the shock.
Any advice would be grately appreciated... not looked after a little bunny before!!!

| | | Re: Casualty!!! I bet he wouldn't say no to a carrot and lots of greens which I'm sure is what you have done and just check he's in good health come the morning and release him as soon as if she/ he seems fine, which again I know you will do. Can't offer any thoughts than that besides Rabbit Stew if it doesn't pull through?!
Good on Tom!
Best wishes
Jez

I hope he pulls through too. If you have any broc- (reaches for dictionary... two 'c's and one 'l') - broccoli in the house try some of that. Our Rabbit is mad for broccoli!

| | | Re: Casualty!!! Id be very tempted to release it away from the cats, it's at the age where it can look after itself. They often become very domestic when you keep them even just for a short while.

If you are sure it is uninjured, it needs to be taken to somewhere with a good Rabbit population already - it will be fine. Keeping it caged will cause it far more stress.

Anyway, Happy News! It was fine this morning, no injuries that I could see so we've just taken it up here....

Dave P. | Thanks Dave
Well seeing as it'd had close encounters with moggies I thought it would enjoy the peace and tranquility up at the crag and there's no roads either!! Seen many Rabbits up there by the barn so it should be in good company

Zek. | Its a juvenile wild Rabbit thats why the ears are smaller, and the face having smaller features.
