mice

i have recently discovered mice in my dining room,it's an old house with loads of possible places of entry,i've caught three so far in the past few days and hope there's no more,i release them at the park which is roughly eight hundred yards from my house with about another six houses between me and park,
is this far enough ? or is it possible that the mice would bypass the nearest houses to park and head back to my place.

We have mice in the garden they haven't come inside yet Not sure how far you need to take them.

You want to be taking them atleast a mile away, if they have a nest or young they could return.

When you catch them, mark the mice with ink or lipstick, that way you will know if they are returning.
