| | | Cheshire Foxes & Badgers Dear all,
I am an amateur photographer from New Zealand, currently residing in Cheshire.
I am very interested in photographing British mammals, and in particular foxes and badgers. Back in NZ we have no native mammals (except bats).
Is there anyone out there reading this that could help me in getting close to and photographing badgers or foxes in the Cheshire region? I am particularly interested in photographing young badgers and foxes, which as spring is approaching will be making an appearance soon.
I have been hiking in and around the Dunham-Massey and Lyme Park areas quite extensively without any luck to date.
Any help would be gratefully recieved!
Cheers

| | | Re: Cheshire Foxes & Badgers Welcome the the site, i wish you good luck with finding them. Although these two species are heavily persecuted and i dont think its a great idea giving locations on on a public website.
The best way is to look for field signs, badgers are far easier to find than foxes, footprints and latrines can both be found in areas of woodland and farmland with no problem. Perhaps if you join a local wildlife group they may do badger watching? |

gcrofsk | Hi gcrofsk, welcome to WAB. Yes, contact the Wirral and Cheshire badger group, you can find it by Google search. I know this part of Cheshire quite well, I was just wondering how good it would be for badgers, going by the type of countryside? But if you phone the badger group they will advise you. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
