| | | Re: Wolf Reintroduction yes or no Yes but unless we do something drastic about the quality and numbers of red deer in the highlands the ecosystems we have now will suffer - wolfies could be the answer
and they are cute and fluffy :joking:

| | | Re: Wolf Reintroduction yes or no I also understood that the wolves would be on an estate - enclosed - as mentioned by Wolfhill. And I'm sure it would be a money spinner since these animals were once a natural predator in Britain, in fairly recent times.

Tink | Yes this is true, it is at Alladale as I mentioned on an earlier post. Though I thought the original subject we were talking about was reintroduction - the release of the wolves so they can roam free, not the setting up of a game park type scheme. Although I suppose this might be a step towards that end.
The last wild wolves in Britain were killed in the mid 1700's. |

| | | Re: Wolf Reintroduction yes or no Its mostly due to stereotyping (think thats the word) because the Wolf is wrongly declared as bad and is in cartoons such as 3 little pigs, Big Bad Wolf and little red riding hood.
They should make people think that Wolves are not bad and threatening because they are so nice and i love the ones at Longleat safari Park.
So i vote a big YES! they should be reintroduced to the UK as i see no problem with that |

Plenty of tasty upland sheep far easier prey than a red deer......
and therein lies the problem I feel.
I like the idea of a giant park for them to roam in but that is what it would be, they still wouldn't be quite wild. |

| | | Re: Wolf Reintroduction yes or no I would love to see wolves reintroduced into the UK, peple who say wolves will attack people are just stupidly ignorant, wolves are afraid of humans and wolf attacks are extremely rare. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
