Saw this fellow briefly on Sunday. The sea was quite stormy but he wasn't at all bothered!

Ahh, i remember them well from when i was in Orkney. I used to go out with some friends in their boat and they used to swim along with us...seem to remember them being very interested in everything we did  |

There was a seal reported on the Thames today at Barnes; both species have occurred on the river, though Common tends to be more frequent + the only I've seen in the river. |

Hi Bubbles ,
This is a pic from last year when we went up to Scotland to visit the wifes mum,
they haul themselves out onto the rocks to sun , and you can get quite close to them too, but we were walking away from them so I couldn't get a closer shot .
They are lovely fluid animals when in their own environment they look as though they have no bones in their bodys when turning and spinning,
