Every night it collected all the dried cat food storing what it couldn't eat under the fridge for emergencies.
When I finally caught it it was half the size of the lazy feline who, introduced it to both the house, and cat-food (that had undoubtedly contributed to its large size fresh breath and velvet sleek coat).
It was so cute that my wife cried when I broke its neck. Perhaps I should have taken it into the town where there are many more of them ? ? ? |

Imagine if the Great Tit was not native, & had been brought over from North America 90+ years ago,escaped from Private Aviaries & was now decimating all the populations of Blue, Coal, Crested etc. etc. Tit populations? I don't see that that scenario would be any more 'right' than this one.
