And the good news on the hog front is that both are still coming for their food - no adverse reaction to being handled - and neither have any visible ticks at present. I reckon you're right Mark and he scratched them off himself.

| | | Re: Mammal of the day Lovely pic that Dave The tick behind our hog`s head has gone too....as you say, probably scratched it off, or dislodged it rummaging through undergrowth.

| | | Re: Mammal of the day Not a sighting or pic, but thought i`d share this insight into the typical mh68 luck that I have.....its probably obvious my enthusiasm for Foxes and photographing them (or trying to!!)...well, just found out earlier tonight that the pub which my daughter`s mum manages has visiting Foxes. From what I can gather there must be an earth very close by - an ideal opportunity to bait up,watch in comfort (with a few free pints ), and try and get some shots. Trouble being, the pub`s been sold and theyre moving out in a week`s time!!
Ever get the feeling the odds are against you??? Just as well I`ve got a sense of humour, or i`d go mad with this mammal watching lark at times
