There are grass snakes a bit further up so I am assuming that's what it was. Maybe a young one?

There used to be a family pig farm on this site but I think that it is now defunct. The current owner is a little old lady who bikes around the village in a baseball cap and wearing wellies. We have this in common except that I only wear wellies when the conditions merit it.

Tracey | Thanks Tracey but in my case it's luck, I take what I see and if it turns out that's great, not very creative or technical I am afraid - just about manage to resize the pics! Glad you enjoy them though, keep looking for those water voles.
