| | | Tame Hare This little fellow was very tame. I was on the daily field photography trip saw this guy from a distance. Followed him for a while tried some long distance photography but with no tripod and 30m between you and the hare it's difficult... I approached him slowly over about a 10 minute period and he didn't seem fussed or distressed at my presence. Then... He came close to me.... lay down and went to sleep
I got close enough to touch him and took some close range photography... He did not seem at all bothered by me being there. Then he got back up, sniffed me foot, ate something and hopped off to the next spot to eat... So I left him be... |

| | | Re: Tame Hare Hmmm as nice as this story sounds this Hare doesn't look very well at all and for a wild animal that is certainly not normal looks like it has lost alot of weight too. |

| | | Re: Tame Hare Have to agree with the others that looks like a sick Hare. A healthy wild Hare would never in my opinion have allowed you to get that close.

| | | Re: Tame Hare I'd get in contact with your local wildlife rescue team - do a google search. and direct them to where you found it - hopefully it wont have gone too far. Sounds like it's in need of help. oh - you can call them on a Sunday - they'll be used to it |

| | | Re: Tame Hare There's a lot of burrows on the fields where they are all from... They seem to have a good source of food and shelter... :S |

Hares dont get mixy and dont live in burrows..
Cant tell photos so small but hares often clap up and stay perfectly still its normal behaviour they think you may just walk on by..
But if this hare came to you????
Either very ill or tame.. Poor we buggur dont like to see out suffer |
