| | | Clever Mr Fox Around 06.30 this morning I took my 5 month old lab ( see avator ) for her morning walk/sniff/play along a footpath next to the golf course. Near my home .About 40 m up the track ahead of us there was a fox sat young puppy saw it and set of in pursuit ignoring me completely, Mr fox nipped through the fence and headed across the fairway with dopey puppy in pursuit. All this in full view of me, The fox ducked behind a bush waited for pup to run past and then ran of in opposit direction. I am sure he sort of paused and smiled watching puppy run away.
It was as if it knew dog was a puppy and not very savvy yet. I was amazed how cool it was.
On his way back I think I saw puppy do a nr 2 in the rough but wasnt going to risk trespass to do the business witha bag,,,,
Also reading some of the posts on here about fencing roads, I have seen a security video from one of our construction sites recently where a fox climbed a a 8ft vertical site fencing panel with no difficulty at all.....
