Brilliant mammals and excellent news  .
I have seen plenty of Otters in the Scottish Highlands and Islands but Edinburgh city centre is a real find.

Always nice to see them doing well. I ID`d some Otter tracks a while ago for someone on another forum which were found in Edinburgh. Badgers are doing well up there by all accounts too

I saw an Otter in Inverness city centre about 3 weeks ago.
I first spotted it underneath the water, just after dusk, pursuing a fish. About 5 minutes later it appeared on the bank, opposite a busy and noisy nightclub, and proceeded to chomp it's way through a huge eel. Brilliant to watch and listen to 
I did upload some pictures of it but they don't seem to have been approved, probably because of their poor lighting etc. Ah well. |
