bi-colour squirrel

We have a grey squirrel with red ears and red tail tip. Last seen 17 Oct sitting high in a hawthorn feasting on hips. Anyone else seen similar? Do greys and reds ever inter breed?

I can't answer your question. However, I did see a black squirrel run along the top of the fence at the bottom of our garden about a fortnight ago - sadly, no camera.

lol how did you do that ha? Ive seen black red squirrels before. i like them in their winter colours. yes greys can be quite brown/red.

but, seriously, the little feller in the picture hasn't been fiddled with and he's quite red.
The trouble with grey squirrels is they're just so goddam CUTE!
