quickest small mammal catch ever??!

after noises in my Mother's loft the last couple of nights it has become obvious that her yellow-necked mice are back. I went round this morning and set some live traps.

Just as I had withdrawn my hand from one of the traps having set it, it snapped shut. Thinking it had triggered of its own volition I picked it up and pushed my hand through to reset it. There was a mouse inside! A yellow-neck, seemingly a young one, it had dashed in unseen perhaps 2 seconds after the trap was set.

Anyway, I have set 4 traps and I guess they might see some action. Question is... is this the quickest small mammal catch ever??!

probably it is the quickest, we often get animals which continually return to traps and become 'trap happy' as we say due to the bait. I am still amazed that we got 2 bank voles in one longworth before and this happened on three occasions.

The fact that you had not even got away from the trap, (stupid mouse) Think its safe to say yes the quickest catch

Thats quick!! Maybe only could of been quicker if it had jumped in the trap before it was set
