| | | Hedgehog pictures Hedgehog pictures just in as the hedgehogs are back! Put some food (some chicken and veg soup with hamster food mixed in - was all I had to hand ) out in case last nights hedgehog decided to return....heard a shuffling along the hedge around 1/2hr ago and this lil chap appeared
Next doors cat appeared in the garden while the hedgie was feeding, saw me and ran down the garden right to where the hedgehog was sat in the bowl of food....it saw the hog and shot off in the opposite direction
Going to keep watching to see if any more pay a visit (i think last nights was a different hog, from memory it seemed a bit smaller....If any more show up i`ll post the pics here....

| | | Re: Garden visitor :) Cheers, it took the hog a while to cotton on to the fact the food was for him,he spent a while mopping up birdseed under the feeder, then had a good sniff around before climbing into the bowl and pigging out He fed for about 15mins - leaving the bowl a few times, looking as though he was about to leave, then going back for a bit more lol..

One thing about his/her diet, watch out for salt content; especially if it is a commercial brand of soup.

| | | Re: Garden visitor :) Fantastic photos, Mark. Next time remove that bit of grass! That mix looks remarkably tasty!
I wonder if I have hedgehogs hanging round under my bird feeder? They are not big enough to activate my stealthcam.
