Hedgehog city!!!!

Well you could knock me down with a feather! I've just been outside to put stuff away in the garage and heard a scratching/rustling sound - twas a hedgie of course lol! I watched and it poodled round the crazy-paving onto the wetland and started drinking from the pond!

(at least it didn't just dive in eh!)

See... (yes, I rushed back in to get my camera and it was still there when I got back fortunately

)

Anyway it's really 'quiet' here tonight and I heard a rustle coming from the arbour, snuck over and there's another one under the bench!

then I hear another scratching/rustling sound from near the hedgie box and there's another one!

How lucky am I having 3 hedgies in my garden tonight!!!

Got no idea which one of them was out this afternoon in my last hedgie thread though - they all look the same to me now lol!

What great photo's..
I am so jealous I would be grateful to have just one hedgehog in my garden..
Am hoping to encourage them with a new log pile i am putting down from logs from a tree that fell onto my neighbours shed last weekend..

These are beautiful, my husband would like to take photos of the hoggies in our garden. Do you use a flash on your camera, would this up set them?

Kymba - Sorry about your neighbours shed, but building a hedgie house out of the wood sounds like a great idea!

Jen - I'm such a nitwit I never even thought about marking them - that's a good idea tbh and at least I'll know who's where when!

Hedgehog Whisperer - yes I use a flash and they 'freeze' for an instant (that's if they haven't already heard you approaching) but then they happily go along their way with no ill effects that I can see. Mind you, it's not often you get the chance to photograph one in half-decent light let alone daylight.
